Building Meaninful Relationships
Building Meaninful Relationships
Our ministries provide opportunities to strengthen and grow your faith, while developing meaningful relationships. We want you to experience the acceptance, significance, and purpose that we believe God intends for our lives. Jesus invites us to join Him on His mission among our neighbors, co-workers, and friends. Simple acts of kindness, which give us the chance to share the hope that we have in Jesus---serving Him by serving others in need.
Thrift Store
The St. Mark Thrift Shop is a tremendous asset and outreach to our community. Our Thrift Shop is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Prime Timers
Prime Timers is a ministy group for St. Mark seniors. This active group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. for a meal, bible study, fun, and fellowship with either a potluck or eating at a nearby restaurant. They also attend various events around the community.
Lydia Guild
The women of our congregation participate in the activities of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML). They use their special gifts and talents in a variety of missions and ministry progams of St. Mark and in the New Horizon Zone of the Texas District LWML. Our ladies group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Stitchin' Bees
Are you new to quilting? Would you like to meet others who share your passion for quilting? Then join us each Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the sewing/quilting room. Only requirement is a servant heart. We assemble quilts mainly for Lutheran World Relief, and many other projects when needs arise (local victims of fires, veterans, etc.). Contact the church office for more information.
Benevolent Action Team
The Benevolent Action Team promotes the spirit of Christ's love and mercy within and through the congregation in every way. Confidentially advocate for the special needs of congregational members. Arrange for volunteers to serve as part of a "support team" to help members by assisting with funerals, emergencies, financial crisis, visiting homebound or hospitalization, women's care group, and the prayer chain. For more information, contact the church office.
